REVIEW

  • The young Polish filmmaker has an incredible idea- to examine people`s lives and their approach to a very difficult situation. Every single scene is so much fun to watch, from the beginning when a senior lady calls the station to confess that she still loves her husband, who is in the U.S, and now she has to meet her end alone; or a man who calls emergency to report an accident. End of The World is fun to watch not because it has some hilarious scenes, but because it shows that we don`t need to wait for the end of the world in order to talk, confess our love, cry on someone`s shoulder, or simply go nuts.

  • The film’s structure turns out to be a fascinating one, with the more introspective radio callers acting as a nice counterbalance to the immediacy of the 911 calls.

  • The end of the world was treated only as a pretext, pretext for conversation, for opening oneself to others and telling them about something import_ant in one's life.

  • It’s an enjoyable experience, and within the context of the potential doomsday scenario, The End of the World provides plenty to chew on. While watching people nonchalantly go about their lives in the face of the apocalypse, it’s neat to see how much existence can get in the way of the very thing that threatens to end it.

This film is about moments, and about something we must never forget – compassion, love, and respect.

  • This film puts something there; it gives you an image to think about just as the world is about to end. It gives you something to keep. End of the World is absolutely brilliant and I encourage everyone to see the when they might get the chance to.
